    This place is the first one where I geniuenly enjoy mexican food. Off the bat, the place is cute. I love the folkloric decorations.
    We ordered horchata, Jamaica and tamarind waters. THEY WERE DELICIOUS. You can definately tell they are handmade, not just dumped out of some powder packet. The service was great. It was a family atmosphere, mom and pop type restaurant.
    The tacos were made with handmade tortillas. We had asada, alpastor, and tripe tacos. The meat was really good.
    I am so glad we came to this restaurant.
    I vouch for the tacos. Will definately be coming back!

    Came here for a quick solo lunch - during my tour from Wells to Reno. I had 4 tacos that the waitress recommended and they were damn good. The wait last only a very short time / a brief nice talk with the owner long :-)
    I felt they cook with passion at El Mono.

    when i work nights we always get Super burritos or tortes  Hector s salsa is out standing  The bathroom is spotless the seating is super clean too anything i've ordered has always been amazing.... i highly recommend his pork tacos great family run restaurant Oh the horchata is good too still not sure what it is butt it cinimuni gooood

    Overall, I'd definitely go back to Taco El Mono, but how can a Mexican restaurant be out of chips and salsa?  We went on a Saturday around dinner time and they were out of chips & salsa, and also chicken.  Bizarre.  

    The tacos were good, but you have to order 4 of the same kind.  I appreciate places that let you mix and match different meats.  Additionally, I was hoping to have a greater salsa selection for an "authentic Mexican restaurant," such as a good salsa verde.
